Curriculum

Of major importance is the acquisition of basic skills, particularly in Literacy, Numeracy and Science and the development of these skills to a degree of efficiency so that the school leaver is prepared to take full advantage of further education at Prince Andrew School.

Religious Education, History, Geography, Art, Music, Physical Education and a ten week programme of cooking, woodcraft, crafts and drama are offered to develop the child's all round education.

The school places great emphasis on reading and has adopted a Whole School Reading Policy. The school has ERIC (Everyone Reading In Class) or guided reading sessions for 20 minutes per day.

The school also caters for students with Special Educational Needs and it is our aim to encourage full support from the parents of SEN children in their learning programmes.
